Gavia has a range of client specified sensor modules.   These are in various configurations most are integrated with hull section modules each having an external diameter of 200mm and varying in lengths up to about 400mm. 

The Nose Cone Module houses a Digital stills/video colour camera and an Obstacle avoidance sonar - options include the Autotracker pipeline S/W within the Nose Cone.

The centre sections can contain optionally a newly developed Autotracker S/W module which allows Gavia to automatically track a pipeline or trench for long route survey.

The underwater acoustic communication modem is fitted to a part of the centre section which is the main vehicle Controller PC's , this also houses the communications systems of WLAN, Iridium antenna and Strobe light units.

A USBL module can be fitted to Gavia within the hull sections.

Scientific sensors ( CTD, spectrometer etc...) can be  fitted also, there is a payload (empty) module available for user special instruments to be integrated  - the Gavia has a power and data bus running all through the vehicle .
