The Gavia AUV system is a vehicle design of modular construction - this allows a user to select the appropriate sensor module for the task to be undertaken.

The Gavia has a sensor module called the GeoSwathPlus , an interferometric bathymetry sonar operating at 500KHz and able to perform Side Scan and Bathymetry data acquisition simultaneously.   Gavia has collected a sizeable data library of seafloor and pipeline data and has proved this to be in compliance with IHO survey standards for bathymetry systems.

GAVIA AUV uses a modular hull design and therefore it is comparitively simple to introduce other module sensors to the vehicle hull.

We have been able to offer a new Bathymetric hull sonar from SEA and this is undergoing trials during mid 2010 for integration later in the year.

Also, a new Sub Bottom Profiler sonar is under final design and test for potential integration and use during latter part of 2010.
